I am a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Australian Navy. I joined the Navy in 1978 and completed an Aircraft Electrical and Instrument Trade. In 2003 I completed a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University achieving first class honours.

My naval career has been diverse as both an aircraft technician and later a Naval Engineer. I have gained experience in aircraft maintenance, maintenance management, training, design engineering, aircraft maintenance and flight trials and as an Aviation Squadron Senior Manager.

My current position is the Officer In Charge of the Software Support Centre which is a section within the Naval Aircraft Systems Program Office at HMAS ALBATROSS, Nowra NSW. The software Support Centre maintains and develops airborne software for the S-70B-2 seahawk Helicopters.
