Overview
In 1971 I left Villa Marie School, Bognor Regis, Sussex, after completing my O levels. I studied at the Westminster School of Cooking for 2 years. My family emigrated to Australia in 1973. I completed my HSC in 1974.
I trained with Jurgen Kurts, head chef of The Swiss Chalet, Jamberoo, New South Wales for 2 years.
From 1977 till 1988 I did various restaurant jobs.
In 1988 my family moved to Victoria where I resumed my chefing career.
