Overview
I have a Bachelor of Information Technology completed by external studies in 2002. I am a member of the Queensland Executive for the IEEE and the Oracle user group (AUSOUG). I have a variety of experience across many technologies during my career.
I am currently working with Oracle Middleware, Oracle Databases and Microsoft Databases. Recent succeses include working for 14 months in the position of Senior Consultant Technical Assurance where I was the Technical lead and architect for implementing a high avaliability Oracle 10g middleware configuration and later was a part of a project team that migrated 32 databases from Sun15k servers to Sun M9000 servers.
Other notable sucesses include being a key part of the upgrade team at CQUniversity as a DBA supporting Oracle RAC. I am entreprenuerial and am constantly working to improve my leadership skills and my technical skills. In past roles I have been instrumental in delivering network solutions, Unix, Windows and Linux servers.
Achievements
Implemented Oracle RAC for CQUniversity building one of the first stretch cluster implementations in Australia
Designed and implemented Oracle 10G Middlware for QLD Health providing a High avalialbility solution for Forms and Reports , Java and SOA Suite
Design and configure Oracle Identity Management for QLD Health
Provided Standards and Work Instructions under ITIL for QLD Health
Being part of the QLD Health Technical Assurance group providing assesment and advice service to Information Division on Oracle Product and their usage in QLD Health.; providing system assurance and technical assesment of changes to be implemented from a context of the use of Oracle databases and Oracle Middleware.
Provided technical training in Northern Thailand to Thai staff for Mincom Ellipse Webshpere and Oracle database
Implemented Oracle Data Guard and provided local education to Thai staff for EGAT in Thailand
Provided training to Chinese and indian staff in Singapore and Dubai for Mincom Ellipse, Oracle, IBM Websphere and IBM CICS and Oracle Tuxedo on Windows
Being invited to return on a further three occasion to Shell in Dubai due to the service I provided
Many successful implementation of Ellipse whilst working at Mincom and remaining friends still to many I worked with whilst there
Implemented Cisco Network on the eastern seaboard for a leading QLD manufacturer
