Overview

My professional background began with a full Chefs Apprenticeship through TAFE in North Queensland. Starting with the role of an apprentice, I then moved into supervisory and Head Chef roles in small to medium venues.

I then develpped an interest in front of house management and moved into restaurant supervisory roles, followed by event and marketing areas through a contract catering company in the United Kingdom, a role which I grew to love.

Since then, I have gained experience in all areas of catering, including resort front office skills, event management, kitchen management and budgeting. I look forward to gaining more experience in catering management, sharing the skills I have developed by working in all of these areas.

Achievements

Personal achievements to date include:

  • Working in a professional contract catering company, conduting executive dinners for high profile guests in the United Kingdom
  • Planning and coordinating the major catering events for Magnetic Island Race Week, a large sailing regatta in North Queensland
  • Gaining extensive experience in the Melbourne bridal industry, being promoted to a senior role in a short time
  • Developing a well rounded skill set for the hospitality industry, creating an understanding for all departments in most hospitality environments
