Carina Skipworth's Resume
Overview
I am a young woman who has been working in the mining industry in Western Australia since April 2004, as a Field Assistant. I have also had a small amount of experience as a trainee recruitment consultant. I welcome a challenging job and always put in my best effort. I work well as a team member and also as an individual.
In order to gain this experience, I attended Leedervile Tafe from February 2003 to July 2003. The courses I completed were:
Certificate II in Geological Field Practices & Certificate III in Mining Geoscience Practices
Through out my career I have learnt how to interact with a variety of personalities. Some of the skills I have developed over the last 5 years are:
Logging Drill holes, data entry, senior first aid, preparation of sample bags, making up ore blocks, marking up and pegging out grade control drilling patterns, assistance with clearing, reading of maps and the use of GPS equipment.
Achievements
I would have to say my biggest achievement in my career as a Field Assistant, is being given the opportunity to Train new starters in my Fortescue Metals jobs both exploration and Mining environment. My training involved, identification of different types of ore, the full procedures on how to log a hole from top to bottom as well as picking them up and dispatching them.
