Overview

My main background is in the building industry  in  general and and house building. I started my career on  high rise and commercial buildings and have ventured into other industries at times.

My core skills include:

Setting out  for site, roof, stairs. Plan reading and on occasion have drawn and prepared plans for council approval.

Estimating and cost control.

Negotiating contracts and customer relations

Working to schedules and overcoming problems or disputes.

Management of the head contract and subconracts.

A good working knowledge of  the building trades including concrete, masonry,framing, plumbing, electrical, tiling, plastering, painting and kitchens.

Achievements

Completion of apprenticeship as a Carpenter&Joiner

Obtaining my builder's license as a general &house builder in 1990

Building of new homes for clients and  several speculative ventures for myself.

Building the environmental and conference centre at the Bunya Mountains.
