Completed the Leaving Certificate in 1964; achieved the Advanced Secretarial Diploma at Sydney Technical College in 1965. Employed by IBM Australia from 1965 to 1972, then personal secretary to the Financial Comptroller of IBM Australia. In 1986 I was employed by PLC Sydney as an assistant to the  Bursar's Office and the Principal's Secretary. In 1987 I moved to become assistant to the Principal's Secretary. In 1988, I was asked by the Principal to research and recommend student reporting software.
