Iam an experienced industrial painter with 5 years experience in the industry. I have been working for a company called Thomas Contracting who specialises in Lead Paint removal from steel structures for Government based austhorites. Throughout this time i have specialised in the application of both Jotun and International paints and became one of the first painters in Australia to paint with Zinga. Also during my time with Thomas Contracting i was required to build containments to enclose the steel structures, run and repair blast hoppers and vaccum systems, be preficient in the use and repair of both airless and air operated paint machines. I also become a leading hand and 2IC project manager which required me to liase with government authorities, manage work load and time limits, manage environmental and community apects of the job aswell as all the QA of the project.

Canberra Deep Space Station Satellite Maintenance

• Throughout 2009-2010 we were required to maintain the satellites at the Canberra Deep Space Station.
• Very strict security clearances had to be obtained.
• We were required to undertake maintenance painting while the satellite dish was still in live tracking of the Space Station.
