Overview

My name is James Glennan. I am currently enrolled at The University of Wollongong and I am studying a Bachelor of Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Mathematics. 

I attended Tomerong Public School from K-6; from there I went to Nowra High School for Years 7 to 9. I moved school in Year 10 to Shoalhaven Anglican School and attained my School Certificate. In Year 11 I re-enrolled at Nowra High School, from there I attained my Preliminary HSC. I completed my HSC in NSW with passes in Extension and Extension 2 Mathematics (4-Unit), Physics, Legal Studies and Standard English.

I am very proficient and enjoy the use of technology and computers. I also have a mathematical interest. This reflects my degree choice.

Achievements

I received my Junior Black Belt in Rhee International Tae Kwon Do in 2003.

My team and I placed first in the Tournament of Minds Language and Literature regional division in 2006 and competed at the state level.

I was a member of the Peer Support Program in 2009, mentoring year 7 students in high school transition.

I became an active member of Peer Mediation Group in 2006 until 2009. Peer Mediation is a programme designed to resolve conflict between junior students in a way that means that minor disputes are resolved easily.

In 2011 I was selected to work in the In2Uni Programme at the University of Wollongong. In2Uni is a programme targeted at getting more students from low socio-economic schools to complete tertiary education.
