Through my academic and practical experience I have many years experience in the media and communication industries. After graduating from a Bachelor of Arts with majors in journalism and marketing I spent approximately four years refining my skills in communication and administration within the local government sector. During that time I also completed a postgraduate certificate in public relations.

In 2004, I relocated to Canada and took up the position of editor for a 40-page monthly business magazine that serviced a community of over 300,000 people. Upon returning to Australia in 2007, I have focused my attention on my family and at present I am in the process of returning to tertiary education to complete my masters in professional communications.

I am currently seeking freelance opportunities within the media and communication industries.

Some of my major achievements include working my way through the ranks of administration officer to communications officer, all the way up to editor-in-chief of a monthly magazine.

During my time as editor I commissioned our production staff to redesign the layout and update the artwork to convey a more modern, professional appeal. As well as sourcing more interesting and well-known subject material, I was responsible for the increase of pages from 40 to 44 due to the renewed interest it garnered and the demand for more advertising space the redesign generated.
