I have a passion for older people, and as I am looking to re-enter the workforce, and have previously done more than 1000 hours of volunteer work at Colthup Home, I believe the area of aged care is where I would be able to make the biggest, most useful contribution.

Currently I do not have any official qualifications in aged care, but I am more than willing to undertake any training and/or study required to improve the quality of my work. I am looking at doing the combined Certificate III in Aged Care and Home and Community Care. It would be ideal to be able to work in the area while studying.

I am returning to the workforce after an absence of 11 years, having devoted my time and energy into raising our children. As my youngest will be starting full-time school next year (2012), it is time to devote some of that time and energy into something else, equally worthwhile and fulfilling.
