Detailed Description:My main responsibilities included answering telephones, operating the switchboard, preparing photocopies of
coursework for staff, organisation of internal and external mail, covering reception, taking photographs for
college events, filing, and creating displays in the main foyer. I was given the task of collecting information and
making a display for Citizenship Week which included all the achievements the students and staff had
celebrated in the past year. I put a lot of effort into the display and it was a very rewarding experience. Using
my own initiative, I used a large map and pinpointed the countries where some Scottish charities had been
volunteering or sending aid to help with extreme poverty. This was to show the students what they could do
to help with 'Global Citizenship' and the map and information itself encouraged some local charities to come
by and drop off information packs for anyone who was interested.
