My name is Mary Young, I am currently employed as a Registered Nurse with Queensland Health.  I have worked for Queensland Health for 11 years.  I attended MacGregor State High School and graduated Grade 12 with a OP of 12.  I then attended Queensland University of Technology and gained a Bachelor of Nursing with a GPA of 4.60.

I have been able to Act up as a Clinical Nurse on numerous occassions.  I have been able to be part of managing aggressive incidents in the workplace, and also have done debriefing sessions after such incidents.  I can manage a shift and nurses under my leadership find the shifts run smoothly and safely.   Verbal Descalation is one of my skills and manageing complex patients is also one of my skills.  I have been one of the fire wardens on the ward I work on for a few months. 

I am currently a champion in Honos on my ward.
