Detailed Description:I started at just blinds as the receptionist but very quickly was promoted into the role of Repairs Co-ordinator. In this role I was responsible for all Australian product repairs and some Chinese product repairs. I liased with dealers and fitters to ensure all clients orders were sucessfully fitted with quality products in a self managed role. I also assisted the production manager with development of computer programs for collecting and storing data. I also developed a calculation program taking clients orders and entering key information which led to cutting sheets, product usage, monthly consuption reports all being created at the entry stage. This development stopped double handling of information and increased our office productivity immensly. My program was discovered by other offices and soon a programming company was contracted to develop into a full computer system for use Australia wide. I assisted the development team in the building of this system in an advisory role before leaving to join my husband in our own company.
