Rochelle Zwart's Resume
Overview
Following completion of High School in 2000 I joined the Royal New Zealand Navy with the goal of becoming a Medic. Since joining I have worked my way up to Petty Officer Medic and served on various ship's and also completed land based missions.
I am a self motivated and goal orientated individual. In the future I would like to complete a Bachelor of Human Health and the Environment, which I have been studying towards whilst in the Navy.
Although applying for jobs external to the Navy I still have a passion to remain in the maritime environment.
Achievements
2001: Completed Basic Common Training in the Royal New Zealand Navy.
2002: Completed Junior Medic Course
2003: Completed Intermediate Medic Course
2004/2005: Posted to HMNZS Te Mana as the Junior Medic
2005: Posted to Navy Hospital Training Department where I was responisble for teaching Officers/Sailors basic Workplace First Aid and CPR
2006: Completed Leading Rates Common Promotion Course
2006/2007: Posted to North Yard Sickbay where I was overall responsible for the Health and Wellbeing of Recruits. During this time I asissted in implementing Lower Limb Injury Prevention strategies.
2007/2008: Sole Charge Medic onboard replenishment tanker HMNZS Endeavour
2009: Completed Petty Officer Common Promotion Course. Posted to Personnel Under Training Department at Navy Hospital where I was responsible for all Junior Medics under training. During this post I had an integral role in introducing the new training platform for Defence Health Training into the Navy environment.
2010: Deployed to Timor Leste as part of the ANZAC Stabilisation Force as the Senior Medic, I was responsible for the Health and Wellbeing of the 140 New Zealand Defence Force Personnel serving in the area.
2010-Present: Posted to HMNZS Te Mana as the Senior Medic onboard, responsible for the Health and Wellbeing for the 170 personnel onboard.
