I started my Fitting and machining apprentiship in 1979 with Dunlop Tyres. during my 16 year association with this company I had many rolls and responsibilities. Among those included being a  1st class machinist in the machine shop, die development engineer, fitter and rubber worker. During this time I also had the opportunity to further my education with the following courses. Toolmaking(Plastics), NC programming, Hydraulics/Pneumatics (In House by Peter Roner - RMIT) and a welding Certificate at Broadmeadows NMIT.

The next phase in my career came in 1994 when I left the employment of South Pacific Tyres ( Joint venture between Dunlop Tyres and Goodyear Tyres) to stat my own engineering business ( Akron Engineering Pty Ltd). During this next period from 1994 to 2009 my business partner and I grew our small business to a crew of 12 employees. Our company's main function was to offer a jobing service which included breakdown service and shutdowns to companies in the area.

From 2009 to 2010 I worked as a maintenance contractor  for several companies and finally from 2010 to present I have been working as a capenter in the building industry, primarily in home construction involving framing, lockup and fix.
