I am Tong. I am a guy with a complicated history.

I was born in China, and moved to Australia at the age of 12. I stopped primary school during year 6, hoping I could find better education and life in Australia. I took one year of intensive English course and started year 8 in Sydney.

My life decisions changed and I was determined to study in the US, which is why I stopped high school during year 11 and proceeded with the American College Test. I was then admitted by three universities (Ohio State, U of Arizona and Purdue University). I accepted Purdue University's offer and studied psychology in Indiana.

Unfortunately my family conditions changed and I was denied a US VISA in the later years, so I returned to Australia and reset my course to pick up my creative skills.

This is when I met Billy Blue College of Design.

During primary school, I was the oldest kid in the entire building. I was the best at mathematics and the teachers loved me. I would come first in every math competition. This skill followed me to Australia, because during year 9, I joined the Mathematics competition and my results ranked top 1% in the state of New South Wales. That was my very first real certificate, I was proud.

In high school, my English skills improved so much that teachers cannot tell if I was a native speaker. I was bursting with confidence and decided that I want to attend the best universities in the world. After achieving a reasonably well School Certificate, I decided to stop year 11.

I took the required tests for US college applications, and sprinted through the TOEFL iBT test with a score of 111 out of 120 (110 was the bar for Harvard).  To help me build a fundation for college and make up what's lost in years 11 and 12, I took the Global Assessment Certificate course and learnt everything in 9 months.

I achieved high grades in writing and theatre acting during my study at Purdue University, but I wanted to be a psychiatrist after my study, so I tried hard.

Things changed and I was forced to stop my education in the US. I went back to China and started making plans for my future. While that was going on, I took  a full-time job at the Subway and became a sandwich artist. I showed extraordinary management and planning skills at a newly opened Subway division, and was offered a position as the Store Manager. I could not accept the offer, for I have already set my course to Australia by that time. I worked for another month before quitting.
