I have worked at Link In for last four years as a support worker. My main role is to counsel and reassure clients and take them to appointments including shopping.

Previously I worked at Centacare in Brisbane as a disability worker. I looked after clients with various disabilities from brain injuries to being in a wheelchair. I prepared meals for them and did general cleaning. I was in this role for six months.

My main skills are great listening skills, the ability to empathize, hardworking and non jugemental. I am able to get on with a diverse range of people and enjoy nhelping others in need.

Working four years at Link In: I have helped many of my clients achieve their goals. I have helped them build family relationships and get back some independence. May major achievement has been to get my clients assimilated into the communmity and build their confidence in themselves.

At Centacare I helped to look after and assist my clients with everyday lifesyle skills. I always tried to encourage my clients to be independent.
