Overview
Supporting myself at university by working as a professional photographer, I graduated in Science in 1976 and commenced work in pathology. This did not challenge me sufficiently and in 1982 I commenced a sales career selling pathology equipment to labs and hospitals.
I moved to mobile phone and computer sales when these appeared on the market in the late 1980's.
In the mid 1990's I worked for a company running city wide business promotions around Australia. We made appointments with large and small businesses, gave a two hour presentation and walked out with a cheque for between $4,000 - $20,0000 or did not return. It was "close on the day or move on". The average lifespan of a salesperson was under 3 weeks. I was the top performer for 3 years.
I have worked for a timeshare company again being the top salesperson for most of my time there.
In the last 15 years I have worked mostly for myself inmore recent years on internet based businesses and have become adept at this form of marketing.
In 2008 I worked with a company consulting to corporations such as Amex and Macquarie Bank on internet marketing strategy and utilisation of advanced database software.
