My name is Andrew Gambrill, and I am 38 years of age.

My current position is as the Potato Supply Manager for The Smith's Snackfood Company. I have been in this role for around 6 months. a quick overview of my current duties include the supply of potatoes to our 3 main productions. I am also responsible, and accountable for the quality, inspection and ordering of these loads (which equate to approximately 150 tonnes of potatoes each day). My position is key in providing communication between our growers, our agronomy department, and our production team.

I began my life at Smith's in Sydney. The business decided to close the Sydney plant, and I successfuly applied for re-location to Brisbane, some 15 years ago.I have been with the company for 17 years, during which time, I have undertaken many differing roles. I have been a cook on our Chip production line,and an extrusion machine operator on our Cereal. My last role, prior to this one, was as a Team Co-ordinator on our Corn/Cereals line. I was in this role for about 2 years.

It was in this position, that I honed my people skills. I led a team of 21 permanent, and 6 casual employees. I also gained a much wider view of the business, and also gained an understanding of the accountability that encompasses a leadership role.

In my time on Corn Cereals, I learnt the importance of following processes and fulfilling obligations, particularly involving OH&S. In general, I believe myself to be a firm, but fair leader.

I am an avid reader. I enjoy sports (soccer) and I like to run as a leisure activity.

I went to Rooty Hill High School, in Sydney, where I recieved my Higher School Certificate.
