The skills I have gained in my current position as a teacher and as a student at Melbourne University, coupled with my previous experience, provides me with the relevant qualifications and knowledge of teaching and learning methods and I ensure I can make a substantial contribution to the success of teaching profession. I have worked as Teacher for more than 8 years so I have good understanding of teaching and learning processes. In addition to this I have worked in a number of areas within co-curricular activities providing me with extensive experience across a varying range of learning environments besides classroom. Some of my experiences include:

 §  Above 8 years in Teaching Industry, working as a primary teacher. I was responsible for teaching different subjects literacy, numeracy and science to a varied range of students from different age groups and background.

§  Sound knowledge about VELS and familiarity with learning needs of students.

§  Provided Voluntary teaching services at different schools for students with special needs and in adult education centres as a National Social Service Volunteer.

I believe that these factors, along with my broad knowledge base and extensive experience, coupled with initiative and willingness to learn will enable me to excel in a teaching role. 

 

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 

Position: Currently working as a part time teacher at James An Coaching College, Werribee.

Position: Worked as a homeroom teacher (primary) at Al-Taqwa College, Hoppers Crossing from  term3, 2007 to end of term 2, 2010.

Position: Worked as a CRT (Secondary Science) at Mckillop Regional College, Werribee for term 2-(yr 2007).

Position: Worked as a Science teacher at Oriental Academy (High School) Jammu, India for 3 years (April2002 -June2005).

Position: Worked as an IT Teacher at Punjab Technical University, India from 1-11-2004 to 31-12-2004.

 

Position: Worked as a volunteer teacher at various Non government organisations, orphanages and adult education centres during my graduation as an NCC and NSS volunteer.
