I studied to year 12 senior and successfully passed all subjects. In the years following, I studied various TAFE courses ranging from hobbies to practical activities.
From 1979 to 1991 I worked in seismic exploration for oil, natural gas, and coal. This work took me all over the eastern half of Australia. My role was, at first as a field assistant ( juggie), then promoted to shot firer or 'shooter'. In 1991 I joined the Metropolitan Linen Service, a section of Queensland Health. My work involved the packing of linen for delivery to hospitals; and later, the actual delivery of linen to wards. I resigned my position 21st february 2011.
Probably the greatest benifit was the experience of working as part of a team. In the seismic crew, the work was hard, and sometimes exciting, but the main positive was feeling as a part of the team. There was a great camaraderie.
I am seriously looking for work; I can start immediately; and I am willing to relocate.
