Overview

 

I have been employed by Pacific National for the past 20 years which is the second largest coal haulage operator in Australia. Pacific National carries 93% of New South Wales’s export coal.
After completing the School Certificate in 1990, i obtained an apprenticeship as a Fitter Machinist. In 1995 I completed a Car and Wagon Examiner course and a shunting course which enabled me to be employed as a Terminal Operator. In this position I was responsible for the marshalling and examination of rollingstock before the train departed.
In 2002 I was successful in moving into my first supervisory role as a Train Coordinator.
In 2003 I was then appointed to the role that i am currently still in as a Live Run Supervisor.
 
I am now looking for a change of environment to further my skills and career.

Detailed Description:The main objectives of the Live Run Supervisor are to:
• Perform a supervisory role in the Live Run Management of the Hunter Valley Coal Chain to ensure services are delivered in accordance to the Coal Delivery Schedule.

• Ensure ad-hoc communication with the Live Run Team from all external sources is directed through the Live Run Supervisor.
• Identify and action ways to improve the effectiveness of the Live Run Team.
• Facilitate change management within the Live Run Team for all changes.
• Provide support to the Live Run Team where necessary to ensure efficient and effective operations are sustained.
• Monitor and manage performance and development requirements of individuals within the Live Run Team.
• Comply to standards, procedures and guidelines relevant to the Live Run Supervisor position.
• Ensure all members of the Live Run Team comply to standards, procedures and guidelines relevant to their position.
