Overview

I started my career in the electrical trade working for ABB installations part time to earn money on the weekends through high school. After much diliberation about what I wanted to be I began my apprenticeship in 2004 working for Computer Electrical Services. Mainly working in commercial light and power I soon began to feel I needed to learn more and branch out into more specified areas of the electrical industry. I soon found a job with a long time family friend working in the building automation industry at Effective Electrics. At Effective I gained a greater understanding of control and air conditioning systems, working with many control companies including Siemans, Honeywell, TAC 'Schnider', Johnson controls, A.E.smith, Invent and others. From Effective I moved on to Westood electrical. At Westwoods I started in service until it was noticed that I had a great understanding of controls as well an ability to run and co-ordinate larger projects. This gave me opportunities to work in more specified areas of electrical within Westwoods. I found myself working with PLC's, VSD's, Bottling lines, Mobile mono pumps, Grape crushers at the vineyards in the Yarra Valley while also installing mechanical plant, BAS systems, generators and UPS sytems at data centres and large city buildings. I now think it is time for me to extend my knowledge further by commencing programming. As Siemans is the most reputable controls company, I found it fitting that i start looking here.

Achievements

I have had the success of running, co-ordinating and completing many larger projects such as:

Generator upgrades

Mechanical plant installations such as Drycoolers, chillers, pumps, cracs, Ahu's, fans, boilers

Floor fit out's

BAS upgrades

Control upgrades
